LET'S PARTY. (2025)
An elderly, ardent workaholic on her deathbed magically drops back into her teenage body revisiting an old friend and, potentially, receiving a new lease on life.
Another story I wrote in hopes of being able to film on my own. This was actually written before almost love., but I am hoping to be able to shoot it this month (April). ah! One location, two characters, dialogue heavy... Should be simple, right? We'll see soon enough.
I have also decided to submit this script to several competitions. TBD on that.

almost love. (2025)
Hazel has almost fallen in love... or so she thinks.
This script came to me in bits and pieces through images, dialogue and memories. It came right when I needed it. This year, I decided that I wasn't going to wait around to be chosen. I was going to create.
I came across the Musicbed 30-day challenge and became determined to shoot my first narrative short. I can't recall if the story came to me before this challenge or the other way around. Either way, I am living my decision and I couldn't be more proud. More to be said about my film here.

For You (2024)
After a horrific incident, Hyacinth is determined to find solace on her own until an old, unexpected friend pays a visit forcing her to face the truth.
This screenplay was written during a time when I finally found strength in emotion. Growing up with Vietnamese immigrant parents fostered and rewarded stoicism, which became more and more difficult to uphold into adulthood. Though life is full of love and light, it is also full of loss and grief.
As my first short screenplay, I am so delighted that it is gaining recognition in various competitions. I am hoping to see how this screenplay comes to life very soon!
